This is a blog post by a friend of mine, and frankly, I find it quite relevant to today's worrying world. Find out the lighter side of honour killings!
After the epic events of "ignorance is bliss", "what's your problem,huh?" and last but not the least "anger and flying hands"...I was improvising on something while on sabbatical....something greater than ignorance and anger.......something known as "honour killings"......
By calling it an 'honour killing', we rationalise it; when in fact, we are the victims of this so-called "custom" even which we're not so sure of.
The word 'honour' tends to confuse when used with 'killing'. Is honour restored, or lost, when somebody is killed, on the pretext of restoring it?
The following instance, of which I'm blogging, started a long time back.....since I started posting in blogs....so I thought of penning it down.....and more importantly, these killings are still continued..till date..apparently their demand is still on the rise......!!!!
There is a friend of mine who gave the terms 'honour killings' a new dimension.
The person wages a cold war, with some particular ethinic groups of India....especially The Bong Connection.....
In fact, he coined a term "H** B******", which created major speculations; and apparently everyone started to follow his footprints. More importantly, the
"honour killings" virus is makng a breakthrough to the other ethnicities. Believe me, the person makes people apologize for their sin, by simply pressing his hands around their necks....rather than a big bang punch....no wonder it reminds me of terrorist groups who make people commit crimes until they are hanged to death....every now and then he whacks his table...for no reason whatsoever....I wonder...even when he is giggling......
The interesting fact is that these particular "honour killings" include weapons (cookers and stuff).Anyway, friends, just choose your moments wisely....you may never know which is your lucky day.....to get roasted!!!!!!!!!!!!!
