There's a thin line between being a sport and blowing your top when sarcasm or just plain humour is directed at you. That line is,I found out today, five prods at one's complex.
Needless to say,I had to pay a price for the thorough research I was carrying out.The price was losing a couple thousand skin cells on the left hand,to a sharp blow! After that, even nonsense makes the person turn a deaf ear to anything you say.Even so,never make the mistake of saying sorry, because you know you didn't do anything wrong.A bunch of jokes is hardly against the law,you know. It's up to the person in front of you to take matters sportingly.
Beware of awry moods, too. You think you will set up the prods with a simple lead question;but it's a bad day and even a simple question like,"Are you going to that campus today?" can buy you a firm "What's your problem, huh?" and several cold shoulders and frosty noses for the next couple of days.
So,assess the situation, choose your moments wisely and ALWAYS cross the line, since that is the only source of pure, red faced, burnt ears fun, believe me!Cheers and keep prodding!!

I second that, wholly and truly.
