V Day

Here I am, back from a road trip, to capture the spirit of this rather unusual day.

A saint who used to marry Christian couples and was beheaded for doing so, by a ruthless king is the reason you find an excuse to commit every year. Seems a bit unfair, doesn't it? A saint had to die so that you could have just another day out with your girlfriend/boyfriend; but life is unfair. Ask Britney Spears, she'll tell you.

Also, V Day has the initials VD, which is something you can acquire with love ("making" more than "falling in"). For more information about VD, consult your parents to embarrass them, or just google it.

Nowadays, love has become more commercialized than ever. A V Day card comes with an attached list of dos and don'ts, and God help you if you don't agree to those conditions. The day itself caters to lots of people (read 'idiots') who want to celebrate love only on this day and remain as silent as a mouse throughout the year. Hope this illustration clears up all doubts:

What annoys me the most is the "valentine week". One day you give him/her a rose. Then some day, you give him/her a hug and on yet another day, you kiss? Are you people retarded or something? At that snail's pace, it would take forever for you to get laid. You call that a trend? I would rather adopt "going commando" as a trend than following valentine week and lowering my self-esteem.

Seriously, though, I've heard that love exists (from very few people,however) and it's wonderful to fall in love with someone. I sincerely hope that the complications brought to you along with love are not enhanced by V Day, or VD, for that matter.
