Saturation ( aka Fed up )

Saturation : The magical time when you actually feel being an inanimate object wouldn't be such a bad idea, now would it?

What is it? It is hard to put into words but I'll try. There is a time in everyone's life when having company around you isn't what you want. You long for the soothing sound of the waves gliding on the bed of sand and nothing more. You wish to abandon your humdrum schedule for the day and go somewhere, where you would be considered as run-of-the-mill. No special attention, no one coming up to you with something or the other; just you and your restless mind looking to put that numbing restlessness away.

Why, you ask. Well, it arises for so many different reasons, and combinations of reasons too. It is a phase when putting on those headphones and not being around people gives you a sense of satisfaction. A sense which had been long lost in the ashes of depression, insensitivity, misunderstandings and negativity, not necessarily your own; but to which you had front row seats to. Let us take a few separate examples; and then combine them. First, grudges that don't involve you but pairs of people you know really well. Second, anger issues that some people around you have. Third, people in your immediate surroundings with constant need and want of attention. Fourth, a severe case of forced depression highlighted specially for you. Fifth, cold shoulders being developed for no apparent reason. Now, imagine yourself on the front seat of this emotionally charged roller coaster hurtling down a steep slope with no end in sight.

What do you do? The high risk strategy involves jumping into the arena, tackling each problem by its horns and enduring several, if not countless, bruises. Seems like too much work. There's not much you can possibly do without collateral damage. So, the low-risk strategy would be to let things boil down to a meltdown and heal themselves. Meanwhile, disconnect yourself, pay attention to your hobbies, iron out your career plans, put on some music and try out some new cuisines. Take yourself to a tranquil location and kick off your shoes. Cool off with a beer, or a soft drink ( according to your age ). Have some quality time with yourself and show the world your favourite finger! Hope that when you get back, one or two things would have sorted themselves out. So, here's wishing you a good saturation period!

Peace!! ( And I mean it! I really do!!! )
