Expert Systems

If you're thinking that this is going to be about the artificial intelligence topic, you're hugely mistaken.

This article mirrors the "I can't be wrong. You are WRONG!" attitude of AI systems. Sure, you may be coded in an efficient manner, but exceptions do creep in. Sadly, this exists in our world too, and people exhibiting this makes you believe that they have an obsessive need for a knuckle sandwich.

These sab-janta (know-all) expresses think they have expansive, all-encompassing knowledge bases. In their minds, what you think that they can't comprehend, is stupid; what you say, that they don't know of, is wrong; and what you do that they don't approve of, is a mistake.

Imagine having a debate (or better still, an argument) with these types. What a scene!! One person is clinging on to his belief system like a child holds on to his ice-cream (drippy and messy, both the belief system and the ice-cream) and the other is trying to make sure that respect for sense still exists in this world. And I'm telling you, more often than not, the former thinks he enforced his belief system and the latter resorts to silent stoicism. That is how it ends, almost every single time.

And once or twice, when you have tremendous backing from lady luck and all your senses are peaking, when you're able to prove the jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none wrong, you should see his face contort, his pupils widen and his mouth open for the better part of a minute. It would seem he/she just had a concussion and forgot most of his/her vocabulary.

That is when you get that amazing feeling of satisfaction and contentment. Yes, you did it. His (w)hole world just crashed down on his head. Now, rejoice in the glory, before you're "wrong" again in a minute or two. Patience is the name of the game!!
